1- 🔬 Technical Specialist, Bioanalysis (LC-MS)

Location: Hatfield, UK

Contract: Full-time | On-site

About the Role

Pharmidex is seeking an experienced Technical Specialist, Bioanalysis (LC-MS) to join our Bioanalytical team. This role is intended for a highly capable LC-MS scientist who acts as a technical authority, supporting complex bioanalytical challenges across regulated and non-regulated programmes.
You will play a central role in developing, optimising, validating, and troubleshooting LC-MS methods supporting small and large molecule programmes, including peptides and oligonucleotides.

Key Responsibilities
Lead LC-MS/MS method development, optimisation, validation, and transfer
Act as a senior technical problem-solver for complex analytical challenges
Provide expert input into study design, feasibility, and assay strategy
Support regulated bioanalysis in line with GLP/GCP expectations
Mentor and technically support junior and mid-level scientists
Ensure high technical standards, data quality, and compliance with SOPs

Essential Experience & Skills
≥5 years’ hands-on LC-MS/MS experience in a bioanalytical laboratory
Demonstrated expertise in advanced method development and validation
Strong working knowledge of regulated bioanalysis (GLP/GCP)
Experience with large molecules, peptides, and oligonucleotides
Proven ability to troubleshoot instrumentation and complex assays
Experience in a CRO environment (strongly preferred)

2- 🧪 Bioanalytical Scientist (Regulatory Studies)

Location: Hatfield, UK

Contract: Full-time | On-site

About the Role

Pharmidex is pleased to offer an opportunity for a Bioanalytical Scientist with strong regulatory study experience to join our Bioanalytical team. This role is suited to an experienced scientist who enjoys hands-on laboratory work and delivering bioanalytical data for GLP and GCP-regulated studies.
You will support the execution of regulated bioanalytical studies from method development through to reporting, working closely with internal teams and, where appropriate, external clients.

Key Responsibilities
Perform LC-MS bioanalysis in support of GLP/GCP-regulated studies
Conduct method development, validation, and sample analysis
Execute regulated study work in accordance with SOPs and QA expectations
Prepare and review analytical data for study reports
Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records
Support client interactions, data interpretation, and study discussions (dependent on experience)

Essential Experience & Skills
Degree in Chemistry or a closely related discipline
≥5 years’ experience in a bioanalytical laboratory environment
Demonstrable experience supporting regulatory (GLP and/or GCP) studies
Strong hands-on experience with:
Sample preparation
Liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry
Large molecule and peptide bioanalysis
Experience in oligonucleotide bioanalysis
Strong communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams

Desirable Experience
Experience acting as Study Director or Principal Investigator for bioanalytical studies
Prior client-facing responsibilities
Knowledge of ADMET and drug discovery workflows
Experience working within a CRO environment
Exposure to biotherapeutics
